The Block

This reconstructed block in Michigan returns land that housed the block’s first industrial site – long buried under ground and left as a scarred and empty lot – to a vital community place recalling the meadows of pre-development times. Critical to the block transformation is a deep respect for the material history, and also the people that make up the neighborhood.
